Steps for filling Delhi Police Constable Exam Online Form

Follow the below steps to start the registration process of Delhi Police Constable Exam:

  • Step 1 : Visit the official website of SSC or Click on https://ssc.nic.in
  • Step 2 : On the homepage, search for “New Registration” button and click on it.
  • Step 3 : Then fill-up the form & generate your Registration ID and password that will be required for filling up the application form.
  • Step 4 : Once your login credentials are generated, then login using those credentials.
  • Step 5 : After login, fill the application form carefully.
  • Step 6 : Now, after filling all the details, you will be required to upload some documents. Upload all the documents as per the specifications and click on “Continue”.
  • Step 7 : Cross check the form once again & click on the “Submit” button and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Exam Pattern

Delhi Police Constable Exam Pattern 2021

The Delhi Police Constable exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in Computer Based Examination mode throughout the Country. The Delhi Police Constable 2021 recruitment will have 3 stages for selection.

    1. First stage consists of a CBT (Computer Based Test) of 100 marks. The subjects to prepare for the exam are General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and Computer Awareness.

      The CBE (Computer Based Examination) will consist of 1 objective type paper consisting of a total of 100 Questions having 1 mark each (100 marks in total) that need to be completed in a cumulative time of 90 minutes.
      There will be negative marking for each wrong answer i.e., 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

      Note:

      • 1. The Computer Awareness section shall include basic topics like Computer Fundamentals, MS Excel, MS Word, Communication, Internet, WWW and Web Browsers etc.
      • 2. The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in English and Hindi language only.
    2. The second stage comprises of Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE and MT).
    3. Lastly the final step, i.e., third stage of selection process will be Medical Examination of the recommended candidates.

Marks scored by the candidates in CBE (Computer Based Examination) conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission through Notice No: 1-1/2018-P and P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will also be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

It is to be noted that Tentative Answer Keys for the Computer Based Examination will be placed on the Commission’s website after the Examination. Candidates may go through the Answer Keys and submit representations/objections, if any, on payment of Rs 100/- per question within the time limit given by the Commission through on-line mode only. Any representation regarding Answer Keys received within the time limit fixed by the Commission at the time of uploading of the Answer Keys will be scrutinized before finalizing the Answer Keys and the decision of the Commission in this regard will be final. No representation regarding Answer Keys shall be entertained later.

The complete syllabus for all subjects of Delhi Police Constable 2021 Online CBT (Computer Based Examination) is mentioned below:

5.1 General Knowledge/ Current Affairs:

The Questions in this section will be aiming at testing the candidate’s general awareness. Questions will also be aiming at testing knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. This test will also include questions related to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require any special study of any discipline.

5.2 Reasoning:

Questions of non-verbal type shall be asked for analysing Analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observations, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasons and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding etc.

5.3 Numerical Ability:

This section will include questions based on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work. Etc.

5.4 Computer Awareness:

This section shall include questions pertaining to Elements of Word Processing (Word Processing Basics, Opening and closing Documents, Text Creation, Formatting the Text and its presentation features). MS Excel (Elements of Spread Sheet, Editing of Cells, Function and Formulas), Communication (Basics of E-mail, Sending/ receiving of Emails and its related functions). Internet, WWW and Web Browsers (Internet, Services on Internet, URL, HTTP, FTP, Web sites, Blogs, Web Browsing Software, Search Engines, Chat, Video conferencing, e-Banking).
