RRB Group D Level 1 Exam is conducted by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for recruiting candidates for Track Maintainer Grade-IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments (Electrical, Mechanical and S&T departments), Assistant Pointsman, Level-I posts in other departments of Indian Railways. RRB conducts Railway examinations like NTPC and other exams giving candidates an opportunity to grab a job in Railways (Government Sector) in India.
As per the latest announcements by the RRB, the RRB Group D 2021 exam was scheduled to take place from April to June 2021, however it has been delayed due to the ongoing pandemic. The same shall be updated once the official update is out.
Exam Pattern
RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2021
The RRB Group D 2021 recruitment process shall involve the following stages:
• CBT (Computer Based Test)
• Physical Efficiency Test
• Medical Test & Documents Verification
The first stage of the selection process shall involve the conduction of CBT based on the below pattern:

Note:
The Questions will be objective in nature having multiple choices & there will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks allotted for that question for each incorrect answer marked by the Candidate.
The second stage involves conduction of Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Candidates shall be called for PET based on the merit in CBT exam that would be 3 times the total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs as per Reservation Categories.
For qualifying PET The terms and conditions for both Male & Female Candidates are mentioned below:
Male Candidates
The candidate should be able to lift and carry 35kgs of weight continuously for a distance of 100 Meters within a time span of 2 Minutes without dropping the weight. Every Candidate will be given only one chance for this task.
The candidate must be able to run 1000 meters in 4 Minutes 15 Seconds in single chance.
Female Candidates
The candidate should be able to lift and carry 20kgs of weight continuously for a distance of 100 Meters within a time span of 2 Minutes without dropping the weight. Every Candidate will be given only one chance for this task.
The candidate must be able to run 1000 meters in 5 Minutes 40 Seconds in single chance.
Note- The PWD candidates having 40% or more disability are exempted from PET.
The Third Stage shall involve Medical Test & Documents Verification of those Candidates who have qualified the above 2 stages successfully. Candidates twice the number of vacancies shall be called for Document Verification. These additional candidates would only be considered for empanelment if there is a shortfall in empanelment from the merit list /or as a replacement against the shortfall on account of non-joining of selected candidates in the working post or/and any other special requirements as decided by Board.
Syllabus
RRB Group D Recruitment 2021: Syllabus
The Syllabus for RRB Group D Level I CBT (Computer Based Test) is as follows:
a) General Science
The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE).
b) Mathematics
Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
c) General Intelligence and reasoning
Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
d) General Awareness and Current Affairs
General Awareness and Current Affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics, and any other subject of importance.
RRB Group D Exam Level 2:
